Lindsay J. Thompson, Phd, is ArMel Scientifics Center for Technology & Public Policy Research Associate on Business Ethics, Her areas of research and teaching interest include the moral and social responsibility aspects of globalization, corporate governance and culture, business leadership, livable cities, sustainable development and inclusive wealth creation.
An Associate Professor at the Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University, she is a member of the Secretariat of the International Society of Business, Economics and Ethics, a contributor to The Encyclopedia of Business Ethics and Society, and a winner of both the CHOICE Award for Outstanding Academic Title and the BRASS Business Reference Sources Award for Outstanding Title.
Professor Thompson is the author of The Moral Compass: Leadership for a Free World and is a section editor and author of The Handbook of the Philosophical Foundations of Business Ethics. Her work has also appeared in The Journal of Medical Affair, the book Ethical Leadership: The Global Perspective, The Journal of Business Ethics, the book Corporate Social Responsibility in Asia, The Journal of the Academy of Management Learning and Education, The Journal of Business Law and Technology, Business Ethics: A European Review, The Journal of Organizational Leadership Studies, and The Journal for Academic Ethics. She has her doctorate in Classics at Johns Hopkins and is the author of a study in the intellectual origins of Christianity and the influence of early Christian and Roman thought on the history of ideas down to modern times.
